The rise of cloud-based technologies and use of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to a surge in data centre demand. With energy consumption projected to increase from 3% to 23% by 2030 if no action is taken, there is a huge focus on efficient energy usage and water conservation.

Beyond adopting renewable energy and efficient cooling methods, data analytics is utilized to further optimize these efforts. Technology is used to both monitor and manage energy usage using sensors and software on a real-time basis.
